HOW THIS CLIMATE AFFECTS YOUR SKIN & HAIR
We make things that work better and last longer. Our products solve real problems with clean design and honest materials.
This humidity range is relatively comfortable, but temperatures above 35°C still create considerable perspiration, sun exposure and water loss. Skin may become shiny during the day and feel tired or slightly tight by evening, especially when sightseeing without drinking enough water. Use a hydrating serum, lightweight lotion or gel-cream and reliable broad-spectrum sunscreen, preferably water resistant for long outdoor days. Gentle evening cleansing removes accumulated sunscreen and sweat without stripping the barrier. Hair usually behaves better than in extreme humidity but may still become sweaty, sun-dried or slightly frizzy. Use regular conditioner, a lightweight leave-in treatment and UV or physical protection when spending hours outdoors.
Protect, Hydrate and Replenish
Humidity between 40% and 60% is often considered relatively comfortable, but temperatures above 35°C still place the skin under considerable heat and sun exposure. During a tourist trip, four to five hours of walking outdoors can lead to sweating, repeated sunscreen application and gradual dehydration, particularly when water intake is limited.
Unlike very humid climates, perspiration can evaporate more readily in this environment. This may make the skin feel less sticky, but it also means that sweat and surface water can disappear quickly. The skin may initially look oily and later feel warm, tight or tired. Direct sunlight, hot wind and transitions into air-conditioned spaces can further affect comfort and hydration. Environmental temperature and humidity both influence skin moisture and water-loss measurements.

The ideal mantra for this weather is: Protect, Hydrate and Replenish. Comfortable humidity does not eliminate the effects of extreme heat. Skin still needs water, sun protection and gentle recovery after a long day outside.
